Excel Level I

Course objectives:
  • Identify basic worksheet and workbook concepts and terms
  • Enter & edit data
  • Modify the worksheet
  • Use functions to calculate and return values
  • Format cells to enhance the appearance of your worksheet
  • Use drawing features and other enhancements
  • Change the page set-up to define how the printed worksheet appears
Who should attend:

Microsoft Excel 2003 combines a powerful spreadsheet application with the user-friendly atmosphere of Windows. Delegates will learn the basics of creating, editing, and saving worksheets in our Essentials level class. They will work with formulas and functions to calculate and return values. Delegates will learn to change the appearance of a page, including adding headers and footers, format data and create charts.

Experience needed:

Delegates should have an understanding of any of the following operating systems: Windows 98/NT/2000/ME/XP

Excel Level II

Course objectives:

This course builds on fundamental knowledge of spreadsheets. The objective is to take delegates to an intermediate level of spreadsheet work and data analysis.

Who should attend:

Spreadsheet users who wish to make full use of the features in Excel.

Experience needed:

Delegates should have an understanding of the Windows operating system. Delegates should have sat the level 1 (introduction)( course or have some basic understanding of computerised spreadsheets.

Excel Level III

Course objectives:

This course takes delegates to an advanced level of expertise using Excel. Delegates will learn how to use Excel analysis tools to interrogate data. Delegates will be introduced to Pivot Tables and lists and also how to automate Excel spreadsheets with macros.

Who should attend:

Spreadsheet users who wish to make full use of the features in Excel. Including working with others, working with other file types and automation.

Experience needed:

Delegates should have an understanding of the Windows operating system. Delegates should have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel or alternatively should have attended our Essentials or Tools and Techniques courses.

Excel Level IV - Database Analysis

Course objectives:
  • Sorting Data
  • Using Auto Filter and Advanced Filter to extract data sets
  • Using What if Analysis
  • Using the Analysis Toolpack
  • Using Pivot Tables to report data
  • Using the Auditing feature
  • Creating charts to analyse data

This course takes delegates to an advanced level of expertise using Excel 2000. Delegates will learn how to use Excel analysis tools to interrogate of data. Delegates will be introduced to Pivot Table Reports and Charts which allow you to analysis data interactively. Delegates will also use the Analysis Toolpack and Auditing features along with advanced charting features.

This course takes users to a high level of knowledge using financial topics available in Excel XP such as Financial functions, auditing and Charts.

Experience needed:

Delegates should have an understanding of any of the following operating systems - Windows 98/NT/2000/XP. Delegates should have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel XP or alternatively should have attended our Essentials or Tools and Techniques courses.

Excel Level V - FINANACIAL MODELLING

Course objectives:
  • Using multiple worksheets, workbooks and workspaces
  • Working with Financial functions
  • Using What-if-analysis to forecast budgets & cashflows
  • Using the Auditing Tools to track information
  • Using charts to display financial data
  • Using Macros to automate your work environment

This course take users to an expert level of knowledge using financial topics available in Excel XP such as Financial functions, auditing Pivot Table Reports and Charts and What-if analysis. Delegates will also create macros to automate their work.
